He affirmed his separation and said: “I believe I have to talk about the after-reports of Dan and I spend time apart — since the reporting is unfair. I made a lot of errors, which I regret terribly, and have led to our marriage’s collapse.”
He continued: “I took my time out of work because I’m currently not at a good place, and I’m looking for treatment. I try to take them every day at a time and would like to thank everyone at this time for their support and respect for our privacy.”
For the past seven weeks, Rylan has been absent from his show for BBC Radio 2 and sponsored his yearly show hosting the Eurovision Song Contest semi-final broadcast by the BBC in May. Sara Cox, who had replaced Rylan’s Eurovision, stated at the time that he was under the weather and hence could not present as intended.
The BBC also revealed Rylan would be part of the next series of Strictly Come Dancing, which will follow on after the departure of Zoe Ball with former Strictly Pro Janette Manrara.
Reporters have approached the BBC to confirm if Rylan is to return for the upcoming series Takes Two. Rylan and Dan had married for their mutual connection with the show back in 2015 at a Big Brother wedding. Before Rylan dated, Dan was a contestant to the reality programme.
