Naya Rivera, the 33 year old glee actress from Santa Clarita who starred as Santana Lopez in one of the hit musical series was found missing after going swimming with her four year old son Josey Hollis Dorsey in Lake Piru at Ventura County, California The lake has a enormous surface area of 1240 acres and it is also said between 1994 and 2008 eight people are reported to be drowned in the lake which has rip currents and deep columns of chill waters.
The glee star along with her son had rented a pontoon boat on July 8th and later It is said that an alarm was raised by another boater after seeing the boat which the glee star had rented drifting with the child who was mistaken to be a girl because of the long hair her son Josey was sporting.. After the 911 were alerted dive, ground and aerial search was initiated and later called off during the late hours of Wednesday due to poor visibility.
In a very tough interview, the 4 year said that his mother did not climb the boat after swimming. And that he saw his mother disappear beneath the surface of the water after helping him into the boar from behind. With the confirmation from her son that his mother did not make it to the shore started the search on Thursday morning in the first light and an extensive search was carried on for five days before her body surfaced on the river.
The sheriff of the Ventura County says no foul play or suicidal intention is noticed and that the star would have been totally drained of her energy to climb the boat after helping her son on to the boat. Her Ex husband has rushed to be with his son Josey who is reported to be healthy and safe.
Many of her castmates and her ex-husband is found to be visiting the lake where the star breathed her last breath.
