On Thursday, Saturday Night Live shared a clip that amazed the audience. The video featured Bruce Almighty star Jim Carrey along with Maya Rudolph transforming into former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Kamala Harris. Sources reveal that the sketch comedy show is returning for the 46th season on October 3.
Every year, the audience gets to see humorous depictions of political figures played by comedians as well as notable actors. The show has a long history of entertaining viewers and their guests, and it looks like the upcoming season is going to be more fun. Only one month is left for elections, and people are looking for a change from election campaign news. They want some light entertainment to keep them a bit entertained.
So Saturday Night Live has come to save their day. Recently, the show’s official Twitter account released a teaser that featured our favorite comedy actor Carrey. In the video, he was shown in Biden’s costume. Along with him, the video featured the Vice Presidential nominee.
It is just an 18-second clip, but it was enough to drag people’s attention. It is the very first time, where Carrey and Rudolph are seen in a suit and wearing a wig. In the background of the video, viewers could see a member of the crew, wearing a face shield and a face mask. She was prepping up Rudolph’s hair to complete her look. See the clip below.

In September, the show had announced that Carrey would act as the Democratic presidential candidate. He is the second star to portray Biden. Earlier this year, Woody Harrelson was the first celebrity to don the persona. Apart from that, Saturday Night Live viewers have also seen Jason Sudeikis, the former cast member of the show donning an affable version of Biden in the last few seasons.
The show has added three new members such as Andrew Dismukes, Punkie Johnson, as well as Lauren Holt. The show will premiere in their studio in New York’s Rockefeller Center. Apart from that, we can expect the live show to invite a limited live audience to their studio in season 46.
The studio will also co-operate with the authorities to maintain distance between their cast, crew, and the audience and will take safety measures amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. There are some speculations that the upcoming season premiere will be presented by Chris Rock. The audience will also see live musical performances by Megan Thee Stallion.
We will keep you posted with more details about the upcoming show.
