Scream is only of the most famous and terrifying thriller movie series of all time. With the release of the first film in 1996, it has gone on to amass a big fandom and has an average audience score of 79% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Fans’ speculations

The newest instalment of the franchise, Scream 5, has been announced to be in the making and will hit the theatres on 14 January, 2022. Since the announcement, fans have gone wild about their assumptions regarding the changes in the film. Some even speculated that the mask of Ghostface will be changing!

The reason many came to this conclusion is because of the death of Wes Craven, the filmmaker of the series and this will be the first film to be produced after his death. And unlike many other supervillains, Ghostface’s look hasn’t been revamped in more than two decades.

Myths Busted

The voice actor of Ghostface, Roger L. Jackson has confirmed that there is no change in his mask in an interview with Bleeding Cool. If you’re interested, you can watch the concept trailer of the movie here- 

Some exciting news about the new film!

In the same interview, Jackson said “There’s been a rumor going around that the ultra-white mask is involved… What I will tell you is that the killer, the main killer, will not have the ultra-white mask. There’s something else involved, and it’s not the white mask!” and information certainly made fans go crazy!
