Shanghai International Film Festival is going to begin from 25th July to 2nd August 2020. Only one week is left for this major cinema event to take place in China. The Shanghai International Film Festival was scheduled to kick-off on June 8, but it got delayed due to coronavirus outbreak. Almost all the businesses, production houses, and cinema halls were shut. But after getting the green light from the Chinese authorities to reopen theaters, SIFF organizers decided the festival’s official dates.
Shanghai is one of the least affected parts of China. Till now, only seven deaths are recorded out of 733 cases. No international jury will be present during the event due to the coronavirus pandemic. Furthermore, this year, it also won’t have any main competitions.
