Unfortunately, the Shanghai International Film Festival will only be a Chinese affair without any foreign guests. No international jury will be present during the event due to the coronavirus pandemic. Furthermore, this year, it also won’t have any main competitions.

Chinese immigration authorities will also strictly maintain a strict quarantine for Chinese citizens, who will be returning from other parts of the world.
The organizers also revealed that no foreign guests would be welcomed to the festival. However, staff who are a part of international film companies located in China will be invited to the event.
