The sequel everyone is waiting eagerly for, the Sherlock Holmes may take a bit longer. The sequel has been hit by “roadblock”, which is keeping the movie on the sidelines until things get cleared, said the director.
While talking to the director Dexter Fletcher about his widely praised Elton John biopic Rocketman, questions related to the Sherlock Holmes sequel were also answered by him. He said, “That’s sort of sitting on the back burner at the moment until it becomes clear where the world is at and what’s happening.
The same is with the Saint. I’m pushing ahead with both of them, and that’s always part of the Challenge”.
Struggling with the following ‘roadblock’ director still wants to push ahead and make it happen. Robert Downey Jr. is currently looking ahead for grander movies and he wants to make the Sherlock Holmes franchise into a cinematic universe.
In 2019 the movie was pushed back to December 2021, and according to current updates the dates may get pushed further.
The roles viewers can play is to wait for the sequel we all have waited for nine years.
