In April 2020, it was announced that the second season of the series Special Ops would be back to amaze its fans. The first season of the series released back on 17th March 2020 and is currently available to watch on Disney Plus Hotstar.
As you’ve guessed it right, it is a Hotstar Special action espionage thriller series where Himmat Singh is on a mission to find the mastermind behind the numerous terrorist attacks that have been taking place. Moreover, according to him, there is just a single person or mind who is behind all the attacks. He then makes his search international by sending five agents of the task force to various countries to catch hold of the mastermind.
Special Ops 1.5 is expected to be breathtaking and certainly bigger than its first installment. The series would soon make up its spot on Disney Plus Hotstar and is believed to have eight episodes altogether just like its prequel. The prequel received the Filmfare OTT award and it is quite prestigious for the production house.
Considering the cast in the upcoming installment, there are reports that we would witness new faces on screen. On the other hand, some cast members from the prequel are certain to return to the next season to reprise their roles as well. However, we cannot comment much on the cast as the list has not been officially announced by the platform.
Special Ops has been created by Neeraj Pandey and is beautifully curated and written by Benazir Ali Fida, Neeraj Pandey, and Deepak Kingrani. The direction is given justice to by both Shivam Nair and Neeraj Pandey and is edited by Praveen Kathikuloth. The first season of the show was filmed in various countries including Jordan, India, Turkey, and Azerbaigan and the same is likely to happen this season as well.
