It will hit the big screens on the 17th of December this year. There are a lot of rumors spreading about the movie, including reports which claim that actors might return from the previous two spider-man movies.
Is it true?
Rumors pumped up when it was revealed that Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina would be reappearing in their roles as Electro and Doctor Octopus. Tom Holland has taken off the news of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s return as Peter Parker.
There is news of the return of the ultimate Spider-Man villain, Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin. Willem Dafoe was the first Spider-Man villain, starring as Green Goblin in Sam Raimi’s first part of the movie. Willem Dafoe is also rumored to return in Jon Watt’s part three, which has taken the fan’s excitement to another level.
How the new look is going to be?
It is assumed that he’ll return in a new look only if he reappears as Harry Osborn. His signature jawline look makes Dafoe more suitable for the Green Goblin character. A Marvel fan has put a mind-blowing piece of art on Instagram depicting Willem Dafoe in the classic green and purple outfit, exactly the way we see in the comic books. which is also very different from the combat suit we saw in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man back in the year 2002. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is known for pulling back comic characters to reality, and they never fail to make fans go crazy with their spectacular work by making the characters more realistic. If we could get to see Green Goblin is the exact comic book look, it is surely going to get the spotlight besides everything.
Though there is no confirmation on Willem Dafoe’s return by Marvel Studios or Sony. As stated earlier, there are countless rumors about the most loved superhero franchise. But as the Marvel Studio is fully focusing on the concept of the multiverse, we can expect the return of Green Goblin.
