His works sold approximately 350 million copies worldwide, and most of his decades-old titles are still as popular today, if not more so, than when they first hit the market. Today, King’s avant-garde approach to terror, science fiction, and fantasy has prompted readers to contact more media studios in order to adapt their stories to a visual medium.
These Steven King films and television shows, like his books, have taken over popular culture. Some of the most well-known are director Stanley Kubrick’s 1980 adaptation of “The Shining,” the 2017 edition “It,” and the 2019 sequel, “It: Chapter 2,” but these are far from King’s only Hollywood projects. A film about a sentient car named Christine who goes on a murderous rampage is not usually well received by the general public.
While the 1983 novel “Christine,” from which the film “Christine” is based, has gone unnoticed, it has left an indescribable mark on the horror genre. Stephen King, Sony Pictures, and Blumhouse Productions intend to reboot the franchise for the big screen (via Deadline). So far, this is what we’ve discovered.
When will Christine make it to the big screen?
Obviously, the most pressing question about Stephen King’s thoughts following this announcement is when they can expect to go to their local theatre and purchase a “Christine” ticket. Bryan Fuller, writer and first-time director, is undoubtedly committed to this project, despite its current light workload. After writing “Carrie,” another well-known King’s title that was poorly rebooted in 2002, one would assume that he wants to concentrate on “Christine” to avoid making a similar mistake. The disadvantage of this is that it takes time to write the film, collaborate with Sony and Blumhouse, cast, shoot, and so on.
“Christine” is expected to hit theatres in 2022, 2023, or even later, depending on what happens in the coming years.

A small group of people who work behind the scenes to make the movie a reality has been confirmed. Simply put, it has resulted in the formation of a group of highly skilled and talented individuals.
