Hello Everyone! In this boring pandemic quarantine life, we brought you to the prestigious competitive dancing show developed by Karen Smith and produced by Richard Hopkins which now returns for its eighteenth series.
It is a British television dance show in which celebs partner with professional dancers to compete in the famous ballroom and Latin dance. The show is informally known as Strictly and each couple is scored by a panel of judges. Its first season was broadcasted on BBC One on 15 May 2004.
Achievements
This show had installed its seventeen series and without any encouragement and appreciation no one will stretch the show till eighteenth season. So, lets put a glance on its achievements.
The show has won a highly prestigious Rose D’Or Award for ‘Best Variety Show’ and also nominated for BAFTA Awards. This show received the award of ‘Most Popular Talent Show’ seven time at the National Television Awards in 2008 ,2013 ,2014, 2016,2017,2018 and 2019.
What about Airing!
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the launch date of season eighteen was delayed a month and finally the head judge of the show named Shirley Ballas had revealed the launch date and first live episode date i.e., 17th October and 24th October this year, which will premier on BBC One.
As this pandemic hits the filming of every show similarly it hits this one too and rather the usual thirteen weeks duration, season eighteen will be of nine weeks only.
What about the Hosts and Judges!
This time the show will host by stunning Zoe Ball with an English television presenter Ross Richard Clark-Neal which is professionally known as Rylan Clark-Neal. The judging panel of the forthcoming seasons includes a set of three judges.
First one is the 60-year-old Shirley Ballas who is an English ballroom dancer and specialized in the International Latin division and earned the nickname ‘The Queen of Latin.’ Second one is an Australian-British professional ballroom dance, choreographer named Craig Revel Horwood, who also known as the best-known judge of this show.
Last but not the least, is Motsi Mabuse who is a South African dancer and a professional dancer.

Some well-known amazing contestants named revealed by the head judge Shirley on 1 September 2020, are Bill Bailey who is a comedian actor, Caroline Quentin who is a beautiful actress and presenter, Clara Amfo, HRVY, Jacqui Smith, Jason Bell, Maisie Smith, Max George, Nicola Adams, Ranvir Singh and Jamie Laing.
