The American satirical comedy drama series, Succession premiered on June 3, 2018, on HBO, and has been renewed for a third season. The story follows the Roy family which is known for controlling the biggest media and entertainment company all over the world but as the father steps down due to the decline in health, what happens to his four sons is all this series is about. The Executive producer of Succession, the HBO drama which airs on Sky Atlantic in the United kingdoms, opened about the ending of the show. In the UK, the third season of the series was delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic. Georgia Pritchett, the boss of Succession revealed that the series will run for ‘maximum’ five seasons. Georgia told The Times, “I think the maximum would be five seasons, but possibly more like four,” she continued by adding, “We’re at the end of filming season three, so at this point [showrunner Jesse Armstrong] is saying only one more. But that happens every time. We’ve got a good end in sight.”
The Season-3 of the succession series will see a new cast member added to the series. The comments went with the update of new cast member Hope Davis as Sandy Furness’s (Larry Pine) daughter, Sandi Furness. Succession also promoted Justine Lupe, David Rasche and Fisher Stevens as the regular faces in the series and it is also announced and teased by Jeremy Strong that this season-3 which is “more expansive and empowered” will be big for Kendall.
Jeremy Strong also told The Times, “Last season everything was in such a minor key, and held inside in a silent anguish that had to be sustained for six months. There was a sense of powerlessness that [my] character had.
“The Houdini magic trick at the very end allowed me to make that reversal, and suddenly I found my power.
“The pilot light that had been nearly extinguished came roaring back.”
