Georgia Pritchett, the show’s creator and executive producer, told The Times: “I suppose the maximum would be five seasons, but it could be just four as well.”

As for a fifth season, Pritchett said that while showrunner Jesse Armstrong is “saying only one more”, the possibility of a creator changing their mind about doing more “happens every time.” As for the series’ conclusion, she said it was “looking terrific.”
