It’s safe to say Taylor Swift is one of the greatest musicians of her generation and talks have been put out about the possibility of a song in her album ‘The Last Great American Dynasty’ being turned into a movie with stars like Ryan Reynolds, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Blake Lively, all set to play great roles in the movie.
The song narrates the story of an American socialite, Rebekah Harkness who was the previous resident of Taylor Swift’s mansion, the Holiday House. According to the story from the song, she was married to William ‘Bill’ Harkness who was the heir to Standard Oil which was the largest 19th-century oil-refining company in the world in 1957.
Together with her husband, they bought an estate in Watch Hill which they later nicknamed ‘Holiday House’. However, Rebekah would then be blamed by the town for her husband’s death that died of heart attack in 1954. Soon after inheriting her husband’s pool of wealth, Rebekah became one of the wealthiest women in the United States.
The idea of turning this legendary song into a movie was initially a fan’s idea. Twitter user @TSlifestyle13 shared a tweet that was filled up with his idea, “The Last Great American Dynasty would make an incredible movie.
The story is timeless yet unique, the music would be exquisite, and it already has the perfect title. As for the cast: Blake Lively (Rebekah), Ryan Reynolds (Bill), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (neighbor)…Manifesting,” he wrote.
The user would have been more than happy to draw not just Taylor’s attention but almost everybody he had on his list, and even more. Ferguson gave the first reply, “Okay I’m avail for this,” she tweeted, tagging Blake Lively, Reynolds and Taylor Swift.
Reynolds responded first by tweeting, “But Bill’s heart?” in reference to William ‘Bill’ Harkness dying of a heart attack. Taylor would then respond by tweeting, “Not trying to be the Loudest Woman This Town Has Ever Seen but…I LOVE THIS.”
Whether or not this is going to become a reality remains unseen but the fact that it’s worth everybody’s attention, even Gigi Hadid, is very impressive.
