Magic is an important part of the Harry Potter universe. The whole plot revolves around keeping the Wizarding World secret from muggles, or people who lack magical blood. However, in order to cast spells, charms, or curses, a witch or wizard must have a wand that meets the requirements for enhancing a witch or wizard’s natural skill.

Wands are made of a unique form of wood, such as elm, oak, vine, or other, and a magical centre, such as unicorn fur, phoenix feathers, or dragon heartstring. The most powerful wands in the Harry Potter universe are mentioned and rated below.

Mad-Eye Moody is an auror, a guardian, and a member of the Order of the Phoenix, and he wields a mighty wand. Of course, this is a wand that Barty Crouch Junior has taken over.

Remus Lupin was also a professor of security against the dark arts at Hogwarts. Any wizard who takes on that task needs a mighty wand to back up his teachings.

Nymphadora Tonks is one of the most underappreciated spellcasters on this list. She obviously has a lot of magical potential, as shown by her body morphing abilities.

Harry’s godfather is a tough man who spent 12 years in Azkaban, one of the most dangerous locations in the Wizarding World. Black had previously demonstrated himself to be a gifted magician, even mastering the art of animagus.

Newt Scamander is an accomplished magician of magical animals, and his wand has aided him in honing his abilities. His other skills, on the other hand, should not be overlooked.

Lucius Malfoy’s wand was passed down to him by his father and it was made of elm and dragon heartstring. Apart from belonging to a powerful wizard, Malfoy’s wand is simply one of the coolest in the Harry Potter universe. It’s a fan-favorite because of its serpent head design.

Hermione’s original wand, like many others on this list, is made of vine wood and has a dragon heartstring centre. Hermione Granger is generally regarded as the strongest witch of her generation, according to Harry Potter fans.

This list must include another dragon heartstring wand. It’s made of walnut and measures 12 3/4 inches in length. Bellatrix Lestrange, an exceptionally evil witch and one of Voldemort’s most dedicated fans, owns this wand. Bellatrix is notorious for torturing her victims.

This list will be incomplete without including Minerva McGonagall’s wand. Her wand is 9 1/2 inches long and made of fir and dragon heartstring. McGonagall’s wand is obviously strong, as she is a Transfiguration expert and professor.

Severus Snape’s wand is made of unknown materials, but it is clearly strong. Regardless of how you feel about Snape, the complex character that he is, he is still a formidable wizard. He was able to work for Dumbledore as a double agent for years without Voldemort or the Death Eaters catching on to his deception.

Harry Potter’s wand and Voldemort’s wand both have a twin phoenix heart. Voldemort does finally use the Elder Wand, but it’s been shown many times in the Harry Potter series that Voldemort’s wand is right for him. He’s killed a lot of people with it, tortured even more, and managed to build his Horcruxes.

Harry’s wand was made of holly and held a phoenix centre from Dumbledore’s owl, Fawkes, as far as we know. His wand and Voldemort’s wand had the same heart. However, Harry’s wand seems to be the more powerful of the two.

Gellert Grindelwald was in possession of the famous Elder Wand for a period. For it, Dumbledore finally beat him.

While we don’t know what Dumbledore’s wand was made of, we do know that it was incredibly strong. Dumbledore is regarded as one of history’s greatest wizards. He was so strong that even Voldemort was terrified of him. Dumbledore was able to perform feats of magic that no one else in the books had ever seen.

This is, without a doubt, the most potent wand in the Harry Potter universe. Along with the Cloak of Invisibility and the Resurrection Stone, the Elder Wand is part of the legendary Deathly Hallows. The Elder Wand was coveted by Voldemort himself.
