I, Robot, the 2004 action film which was inspired by the works of author Isaac Asimov is created with the usual science fiction themes but trust me when I see this is nothing less than a masterpiece which in spite of being created with the already existing ideas came out to be one of the most amazing pictures of this genre. The creators have done a spectacular job at creating this movie with special effects and the A-list cast in the movie is a cherry on top. The movie ‘I, Robot’ is directed by Alex Proyas and the prominent cast includes: Will Smith, Bridget Moynahan, James Cromwell, and Shia LeBeouf. The story of this film is based on the three laws of Asimov and it is set in the futuristic world of robots.

I, Robot is falling in the science fiction as well as murder mystery genre. The story follows the co-founder of U.S. Robotics, Dr. Alfred Lanning whose character was played by Cromwell, committed suicide by falling out of the window but was it really a suicide? Well, this question is pondered upon by the homicide detective named Del Spooner, his character was well depicted by the infamous Will Smith. Spooner is able to dig deeper into the case and gets to know the conspiracy which can stake the Humanity of the world to evil. It was revealed earlier in the film that Spooner is not fond of Robots but, ironically, he has to team up with one to discover the truth before it’s too late.

Sonny— the robot is not like anything you have seen before. This robot, unlike the others, has human emotions and can also dream. Unlike the co-actors in the film, Sonny and his character might not catch the eye but did you know that behind Sonny’s computer-generated character there was an actor which shaped the performance in such a way that even after all these years we are talking about him!

Alan Tudyk is the man behind the masterpiece of Sonny— The Robot

Alan Tudyk is the man behind Sonny’s voice as well as his motion-picture performance. His acting career started in the late 1990s and all the credits goes to his exceptional skills. He attended college and studied drama and for a short period of time he also attended the prestigious college named Juilliard School. He comes from Texas, specifically a native of El Paso.

Alan’s career has been non-stop since the 1990s and one his most recommendable film roles is from 2001s comedy ‘A Knight’s tale’. He has starred alongside many big names of the industry, Paul Bettany, Mark Addy and the late Heath Ledger. Tudyk was also seen in sci-fiction series such as ‘Firefly’ and ‘Serenity’. Apart from his screen career he has lent his voice in many Disney movies and shows such as “Frozen,” “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Moana,” and “Raya and the Last Dragon.”

Alan during an interview said that he considers himself as Disney’s lucky charm and I cannot agree more!
