The season finale of THE BLACKLIST is rapidly approaching, and viewers can now learn more about Liz’s destiny thanks to the release of an exclusive clip.
With its surprising twists and turns, NBC’s The Blacklist has had fans on the edge of their seats, and this season has been no exception. Liz may finally take over from Red, according to a brand-new exclusive footage.
It all started to go wrong for Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Keen (Megan Boone) on the first day of her work in the first season. Raymond ‘Red’ Reddington (James Spader) was a former government operative who was on the FBI’s most wanted fugitives list.
Despite his FBI position, he appeared out of nowhere one day with an offer they couldn’t refuse. Red was prepared to help the squad arrest Ranko Zamini (Jamie Jackson), a terrorist everyone assumed had killed, but only if he could speak with Liz, a woman with whom he appeared to have no connection.
For Liz, however, this was just the beginning, as she quickly discovered that The Blacklist, which featured Zanko, also contained the names of corrupt politicians, spies, mobsters, and other international terrorists.
Agent Harold Cooper (Harry Lenix), the FBI’s Assistant Director for Counter-Terrorism, looked to be assisting Liz in the exclusive footage. They’re in a car talking about the next measures she can take to reclaim some of what she’s lost to The Blacklist.
Liz mentioned throughout their chat that she was considering taking over for Reddington. As a result, Harold reminded her that she was a wanted fugitive on the FBI’s most wanted list; but, with the information on Red’s empire, she might just be able to get out of her present position.
If Liz was able to succeed Reddington and inherit the Blacklist, Harold indicated that he could utilise his contacts to persuade Cynthia Panabaker (Deirdre Lovejoy), the United States Marshall, to grant her complete immunity. Harold’s major worry, as her father figure, was Liz’s safety, which the immunity would give.
He also expressed his desire for her to have a strong cause for taking over, and Harold expressed his desire for them to work together again. Liz inquired about Donald Ressler, her love interest, during their conversation (Diego Klattenhoff).
Harold was able to set Liz’s mind at ease despite suffering a possibly deadly injury this season. He informed her that Donald was recovering and that he was concerned about her, and she expressed her wish to visit him. Fans will have to wait and see if Liz is successful in her goal to take over from Red. On NBC, you can watch all of the episodes of The Blacklist.
