One of Amazon Prime’s new TV show, Utopia is the story of a group of people searching for the comic book Utopia. The cast has a number of well-known actors, like Rainn Wilson and John Cusack. But there are some newcomers who might be recognizable from shows like Euphoria or Scandal or La La Land.
Sasha Lane – Jessica Hyde, the main character, is played by Sasha Lane. She has acted in the 2019 Hellboy, American Honey, Hearts Beat Loud and The Miseducation of Cameron Post.
Ashleigh LaThrop – She plays Becky Todd, a woman with a rare disease who is a huge fan of the Utopia comics. LaThrop has appeared in The 100, The Handmaid’s Tale, The Kominsky Method, in certain episodes of Bones and Chicago P.D and as Hannah in the Fifty Shades of Grey movies.
Dan Byrd – Ian Ackerman, who Byrd plays, is one of the original five searching for the comics.
Byrd has appeared in 28 Days, A Cinderella Story, Easy A, Cougar Town and Any Day Now, as well as appearing in episodes of Mad Men and Scandal.
Desmin Borges – He plays a conspiracy theorist named Wilson Wison who tries his best to stay off the government’s radar. Borges has appeared in Mr. Popper’s Penguins, Carrie Pilby, Compliance and made guest appearances on The Good Wife, Castle and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.
Javon Walton – He plays another original member of the group, Grant Bishop. Walton is 14-years-old and played Ashtray in Euphoria. He is also set to appear as Pugsley Addams in The Addams Family 2.
Christopher Denham – Denham, who plays hired hit-man Arby, has appeared in Charlie Wilson’s War, Shutter Island, Argo, Law and Order and The Good Wife.
Jessica Rothe – She plays Samantha, the leader of the original five, and has appeared in Happy Death Day, Forever My Girl, La La Land, Gossip Girl and Blue Blood.
Cory Michael Smith – He plays the role of the son of Cusack’s Dr. Christie and has previously appeared on 2013 Broadway’s Breakfast at Tiffanys, in Carol and Gotham.
Jeanine Seralles – She was in musical Across the Universe, Inside Llewyn Davis and will appear in Amy Adams starrer The Woman in the Window.
Camryn Manheim – A veteran actress, she has appeared in The Practice, Scary Movie 3, Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion, Stumptown, Ghost Whisperer and How I Met Your Mother.
