The Haunting Of the Bly Manor: Are You All Ready for This Horror Thriller Arriving On Netflix


A follow up to the American supernatural horror drama web series “The Haunting of Hill House” the upcoming web series “The Haunting of Bly Manor” will apparently be a stand – alone story rather than a connected story line to each other.

Created and Directed by Mike Flanagan the story will be loosely based on the Horror Novel “The Turn of the Screw” by Henry James. The renewal was announced by Netflix to be an Anthology series on February 21, 2019. 

The production for the web series begin on September 30, 2019 and reportedly it finished by February 21, 2020.

The first installment “The Haunting of Hill House” was inspired by the novel of same name by Shirley Jackson. The series was loved worldwide with and received the rating of 93% based on a total of 94 reviews. 

Corrine Corrodus of “The Telegraph” called it the most complex and complete horror series of its time. Brian Tallerico said that the horror web series contains most unforgettable horror visuals in any film or television in years. With the love the series got, all its fans had begun to enquire about the second installment too.

With a tweet Flanagan mentioned on Twitter that considering the story of “The Turn of the Screw” the characters of Miles and Flora are very critical and for that they have been able to find Benjamin Ainsworth and Amelie Smith. Along with this tweet there was one more that confirmed the casting of T’nia Millers and Rahul Kohli in lead roles.

With a great twist the story is not at all going close to Crain family any longer, instead this time the show will take the anthology path.

This was confirmed by the statement made by Mike Flanagan where he said that “The story of Crain family is told, it’s done”. The Haunting of Bly Manor is all set to premier in 2020. Luckily the production of the web series was not affected at all with the current pandemic situation and Hollywood’s shutdown. 

Most likely the release date will be scheduled somewhere around Halloween 2020.
