In the TV world, occasional mistakes are inevitable. On several occasions, there have been bloopers, wardrobe malfunctions as well as the winner announcing errors. In the meanwhile, Tyra Banks is new in the field of hosting a TV show. Recently, an elimination mistake was made by Banks, however, she explained how it happened.
On October 5, during an episode of Dancing with the Stars Season 29, an announcement was made by Tyra Banks that Monica Aldama (cheer coach) and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy were in safe zone.
However, the case was completely opposite and later Banks had to call them back on the stage. Both Aldama and her partner Chmerkovskiy landed in the bottom two along with Anne Heche and her partner Keo Mostepe.
Bank posted an update on Instagram which says, “Oh my goodness, live TV is no joke! Dancing with the Stars, there was a lot of confusion on the stage tonight. I’ve been told that there was a technical difficulty and so the names that I had on the cards were the wrong names. But, you know, we power through.
It’s really unfortunate that certain people thought they were safe and they weren’t, and had to get called back, and it’s a mess. But it’s my job as the host to keep the show going and to try to figure out, handle what’s going on behind the scenes, control room, all that.
But we’re all a team, and we got through it together, and I can’t wait to see you guys next week. And let’s hope that there’s no technical difficulties like there were this week.”
We are unsure about the feeling of Monica at that moment because from being safe to going in the bottom two can be the worst feeling. Though Banks has realized how unfortunate her mistake was as she had to maintain a flawless conduct of the show.
