Though Hulu has some amazing collection of movies, it is not as great as some of its competitors. Recently, there has been some improvement regarding this area. It has been announced that the “Lord of the Rings” movie trilogy is coming to Hulu!
How good is the franchise?
The “Lord of the Rings” is one of the oldest and most successful fantasy franchises ever to exist. It was originally a book written by J.R.R. Tolkien in 1954 and was immediately a huge success. The Sunday Times stated that “the English-speaking world is divided into those who have read The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and those who are going to read them.”
It was then adapted to a movie series which were released in 2001- 2003. Many dub this franchise as the pioneer in the franchises set in a fictional fantasy world. And they may not be wrong.
Are the movies worth watching?
The movie series was directed by Peter Jackson. Usually fantasy movies don’t make it in the mainstream, but “Lord of the Rings” definitely did. The series has a score of 8.8/10 on IMDb and an average audience score of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes.
