THE ACCIDENT

The accident happened during the filming of the elevator shootout sequence. In the sequence, it is shown that Sarah, John, and the protector T-800 robot are being persuaded by the attacker T-1000 robot that wants to kill John. In order to escape the three enter an elevator and fire guns to keep the T-1000 at bay. Now while shooting the actors were using earplugs to protect their ears from the sound of the gunshots. The gunshots were fake but still very loud.

Things such happened that during one of the re-takes, Linda forgot to put in her earplugs back and gave the shot without them. The sound of the gunshots was so loud that Linda suffered from hearing loss. She says today also that the sound was so loud that she became deaf in one of her ears. She is just thankful that she did not become deaf in both her ears.

Movie actors are famous for their acting and stunts. The stunts look spectacular on the screens but at times things go wrong and we don’t even come to know about them. This accident from Terminator 2 proves that no job is easy and carelessness can cost dearly.
