“The Loud House Movie,” a film based on Nickelodeon’s most popular cartoon family, will air later this summer.
The animated TV program “The Loud House” debuted on Nickelodeon in May 2016. “The Loud House,” directed by Chris Savino (“Powerpuff Girls,” “Rocko’s Modern Life”), chronicles the exploits of Lincoln Loud, the middle child of two parents and ten sisters: Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn, Lucy, Lana, Lola, Lisa, and Lily. “The Loud House” has remained a mainstay of Nickelodeon’s current TV lineup since its 2016 premiere, having aired for five seasons and with a sixth season already greenlit.
The 13-member Loud family will be featured in the first film, “The Loud House Movie.” The animated film, which will debut on Netflix in a month, will follow the Loud family as they pack their belongings and go to Europe after learning something shocking about their family’s history.
Here’s all we know about “The Loud House Movie” so far, including its release date, actors, and narrative.
The Loud House Movie – Release Date
During Netflix Geeked’s “Geeked Week” event in June, the company revealed the release date of “The Loud House Movie.” With a message made on Netflix Geeked’s Twitter, the streaming giant revealed that “The Loud House Movie” would release on August 20, 2021.

The release date was announced alongside a trailer for the animated film. Lincoln Loud is shown in the video flaunting a crown, frilly collar, and new tartan duds to his mother and sisters. He declares as he walks down the stairwell that he is “”Right in front of us?” say two of his sisters as he says, “Duking.”
You’re aware that we now have our own bathrooms!” The footage continues, showing Lincoln’s attempts to persuade his family to share his enthusiasm for the Scottish noble lifestyle, but his family does not appear to be interested in joining him.
What Lincoln succeeds in doing is picking spectators’ interest in seeing how his desire to be a Scottish duke plays out, which makes the wait for August 20 much tougher.
The Loud House Movie – Cast Members
The cast of “The Loud House Movie” will include some well-known newcomers as well as recognizable voices from the Nickelodeon show. Every member of the Loud family will be present and accounted for in the Netflix film, according to the “Loud House Movie” IMDb.
Lincoln Loud is played by Asher Bishop; Mr. Loud is played by Brian Stepanek; Mrs. Loud is played by Jill Talley; Lola, Lana, and Lily Loud are played by Grey Griffin; Luna Loud is played by Nika Futterman; Leni Loud is played by Liliana Mumy; Lori Loud is played by Catherine Taber; Lynn and Lucy Loud are played by Jessica DiCiccio; Lisa Loud is played by Lara J.

Finally, several well-known Scottish actors will appear in supporting roles in the Netflix movie, most likely to help ground the tale in its Scottish location. David Tennant (“Good Omens”), Michelle Gomez (“The Flight Attendant”), Billy Boyd (the “Lord of the Rings” series), and Ruth Connell are among the notable voices (“Supernatural”).
The Loud House Movie – Plotline
The narrative for “The Loud House Movie” has been exposed via Netflix press materials on the streaming service’s official press site, which is fortunate for us. According to Netflix, “”The Loud House Movie “ followsthe Loud family to Scotland, where they learn that they are Scottish royalty’s ancestors.”
When the family discovers their ancestral house is a castle, they immediately engage in the most wish-fulfilling high-life ever.” Fans of “The Loud House” got a sneak glimpse at the upcoming film courtesy to a teaser trailer published by Netflix in April (available via YouTube).
Lincoln Loud’s joy when he learns his family’s Scottish heritage, as well as his indulgence in the benefits of said lineage, is depicted in the trailer. While Lincoln is having a good time, the rest of the Loud family is having a good time at one of the many Scottish lochs they will visit throughout their vacation.
But if there’s one thing we know about the Louds, it’s that mischief will follow them around wherever they go. As a result, fans could expect Lincoln and his sisters to embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey in “The Loud House Movie.”
