This year, the Sopranos’ fans will be delighted as prequel The Many Saints of Newark sheds additional light on the world of darkness in the popular crime drama.

For fearful mobster Tony Soprano, creative David Chase goes back to the shots of this drama, bringing together director Alan Taylor, the leader of the original series of nine episodes.

The new cast has been listed to depict pretty familiar characters to longstanding fans because the movies set a few décades earlier than the TV show.

Among these is Michael Gandolfini, the holder of his late father James, Tony Soprano and a magnificent person in The many saints of Newark.

On Friday, 22 October 2021, The Newark Many Saints will be released in UK theatres. The film will be available for our friends over the pond, starting Friday 1 October, streaming HBO Max or watching movies, so make sure you avoid spoilers.

The Newark’s Many Saints have been confronted with several delays because of the coronavirus pandemic, which was first scheduled for release in September 2020 and then moved to March 2021 and again to its current date.

In June 2021, the first trailer was published for The Many Saints of Newark, revealing the main characters in this exciting crime storey, featuring Michael Gandolfini, the iconic symbol of his father: Tony Soprano.

The Newark Saints was a prelude to the renowned HBO The Sopranos programme, which featured the same-named crime family commanded by Patriarch Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini).

This film was made several decades ago by Tony and showed us how he became the hard-hit criminal we know later.

This plot will contain rivalries with Tony’s Uncle Dickie related to the brewing battle between the strong DiMeo crime family and various rival organisations who are up to them.

This narrative is also supposed to be based on the riots in Newark, New Jersey, in 1967.
