To all my Charlie Kaufman fans out there, this interesting piece of news is for all of you.
The surreal and emotional style story writer is recently heard of joining hands with the Handmaid’s director Reed Morano for creating a movie on the english adaptation of the Japanese story of The Memory Police, based on a tale written by author Yoko Ogawa.
In an interview, it is made out to the fans, that Kaufman will be taking charge of the screenplay whereas Morano will look after the direction and the production of the movie. A dystopian science fiction novel, the story of the movie is about a small island in Japan where inhabitants are under the control of the Memory police. People in the island are being constantly hit by some unknown force and the story goes on as the Memory Police tries their best to combat all.
Both Kaufman and Morano has been extremely successful in their genres of movies. Kaufman is well appreciated by viewers for her smoothly carved stories and screenplays and Morano on the other hand bagged an Emmy for her movie The Handmaid’s Tale, as a director.
Thus we can already guess how the amalgamation of these two wonderful soul’s works will give us the best of the new movie.
Moreover, the movie’s adaptation will be done by the Amazon studio.
Therefore, already we can smell the aroma of goodness in the movie and for the rest of the broth we will have to wait with utmost patience till the movie hits the screens.
Till then, we wish the team all the love and luck so that they conquer their dreams.
