Jennifer Aniston plays Alex Levy, host of a popular US talk show, and Reese Witherspoon plays former field reporter Bradley Jackson in the drama, which explores the inner workings of a morning news show.
After production was halted six weeks into filming in March 2020, the first season was rewritten to reflect the #MeToo movement, and the second season turned to focus on the COVID-19 epidemic.
In the latter episodes of the second season, Aniston’s character even catches COVID-19.
Will there be a third season of The Morning Show?
Apple TV Plus has not yet confirmed the third season of The Morning Show. Season two premiered on 17th September 2021 exclusively on the streaming service. If the show does get renewed we can likely see it back in late 2022 if the show goes into production rapidly.
Season 3 of The Morning Show cast rumours
Jennifer Aniston plays Alex Levy, and Reese Witherspoon plays former field reporter Bradley Jackson, who becomes Alex’s co-host, so we can anticipate both of them to return if the show is renewed.
Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, and Desean Terry are among the actors that could join Aniston and Witherspoon in the sequel. Julianna Margulies, who played journalist Laura Peterson on The Good Wife, could also return.
Given her reduced role in the second season, it’s unclear whether Bel Powley will return. Steve Carrell’s Mitch Kessler, on the other hand, will not return until in flashbacks after the contentious character was killed off in the second season.
Valeria Golino, an Italian actress, and Paola Lambruschini, Kessler’s lover, could also return.
