If you’re familiar with Trenton Lee Stewart’s young adult novel series “Mysterious Benedict Society,” you’re probably excited for the show. The series, for those who are unfamiliar, is a heady combination of mystery, suspense, drama, and thrill. Here’s all you need to know about ‘The Mysterious Benedict Society,’ a new Disney+ series.
The Mysterious Benedict Society – Release Date
The series was initially scheduled to premiere on Hulu, but it was announced in November that it will instead air on Disney Plus. The forthcoming family adventure series will premiere later this week on Disney Plus with a special two-episode premiere on Friday, June 25.
The Mysterious Benedict Society – Cast Members
Mr Benedict’s twin brother, the headmaster who looks to be responsible for the worldwide catastrophe, is played by Tony Hale (Arrested Development). Kristen Schaal, who portrays Number Two, one of Mr Benedict’s faithful lieutenants, joins Hale in the film. The actor and comedian is most recognised for her live-action appearances in series such as The Last Man On Earth and as Louise on Bob’s Burgers.
Rhonda Kazembe, Mr Benedict’s other trusty sidekick, will be played by MaameYaa Boafo (Bluff City Law), while Milligan, a deadpan proctor with the Mysterious Benedict Society, will be played by Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy).
As perceptive Reynie, resourceful Kate, and curious Marta Timofeeva, Mystic Inscho, Emmy DeOliveira, Seth Carr, and Marta Timofeeva will round out the cast.
The Mysterious Benedict Society – Plotline
As per the official series synopsis, “Four brilliant orphans are recruited by the strange Mr Benedict for a hazardous mission to save the world from a worldwide disaster known as The Emergency after winning a scholarship competition.
To uncover the truth behind the crisis, Reynie, Sticky, Kate, and Constance must enter the secretive L.I.V.E. Institute. The pupils of “The Mysterious Benedict Society” must create a strategy to overthrow the headmaster, the smart Dr. Curtain, who appears to be orchestrating international fear.”

Last month, Disney Plus published a teaser for The Mysterious Benedict Society, which featured Hale as the clever Mr Benedict. The teaser also showed some of the amazing action-packed adventures that the talented gang would be taking on in order to fight the villainous Mr Curtain.On Friday, June 25, the first two episodes of The Mysterious Benedict Society will air on Disney Plus.
