Power Book III: Raising Kanan star London Brown has talked about the dramatic eighth episode, titled ‘The Cost of Business.’
Before calamity struck, Marvin and Lou-Lou exchanged some pretty savage barbs about personal cleanliness, but all were put to rest when disaster struck.
Marvin rescued Lou-Lou from imminent death when Nique set fire to Lou-house, Lou’s, but it didn’t look good for Lou-Lou after that. Will he be able to recover?
He described how physically and emotionally he felt during this sequence in an interview with TVLine.
“As soon as they called cut, I didn’t try to escape [that] completely. Wherever I’m supposed to be emotionally and cognitively, I’m not necessarily going to be in character. So while getting ready, I listened to a lot of [Nas’ album] Illmatic.”
As a result, the actor sought to make this moment as realistic as possible, explaining: “Marvin is still grounded despite all of his infamous actions. However, he has unresolved difficulties that are clouding his decision-making.”
Back in July of last year, it was announced that Raising Kanan would be returning for a second season.
Mr Hirsch said: “One season is not enough to convey Kanan Stark and his mother Raq’s storey of growing up in the shadows of his aggressive and powerful mother, who is an unstoppable force of nature.
“Kanan’s story needs to continue because of the global interest in the Power Universe.”
“Power” is available to stream or download from Starz in the United States and via Netflix in the United Kingdom. There are two ways to watch Power Book III: Raising Kanan: on Starz (in the US) and Starzplay (on Amazon Prime Video) in the UK. Do not miss out on this great story, as it is amazing.
