In the forthcoming film The Starling, Melissa McCarthy stars in her second Netflix Original comedy. We’re keeping track of everything you need to know about The Starling, including the premise, actors, trailers, and when it’ll be available on Netflix.

The Starling is a comedy film directed by Theodore Melfi and written by Matt Harris for Netflix. Netflix did not order the film, but in April 2020, the streaming service purchased the film’s distribution rights for a rumoured $20 million.

The Starling may be released at any time, since the film has been long overdue; however, we are still waiting for Netflix to announce when the film will be released. We do know, however, that the starling will be available on Netflix in 2021.

Melissa McCarthy will star in her third Netflix Original, The Starling. She was most recently seen in the superhero comedy Thunderpower, and before that, she was seen in Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, reprising her role as Sookie St. James.

Timothy Olyphant is also a Netflix regular. In the horror comedy Santa Clarita Diet, he played Joel Hammond. Olyphant has also been in Go fargo and had a guest role on NBC’s The Right Place, although not being originals in the United States.
