The Umbrella Academy is an American funny superhero web television series published by Dark Horse Comics.
This series is created for Netflix by Steve Blackman and produced by Jeremy Slater. It is a unique story of October 1, 1983, when 43 women who gave birth to children simultaneously, without showing any sign of pregnancy until labor.
Seven of them were taken by a billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreeves. He took them because he wants to make a superhero team, who further solves the mystery of their father’s death and the threat of an impending apocalypse.
Storyline
A unique thing about this show is that all the seven adopted children were given numbers rather than names. Now, in this season the academy which was formed by the billionaire and made of seven children will be reunited and fight against the upcoming apocalypse.
What about Airing?
There is very good news for all the fans of this show that the showrunner Steve Blackman revealed that its second season will be released at the end of July 2020 (31st July) which is not very far. Trailers are not introduced yet but some posters are introduced which reflects some ideas of the upcoming story. So hold your heart and get ready for the season 2 release.
Casting Members
This season will be more dramatic because old as well as new both characters are there.
As we know that the children were given numbers and later on names, so some of them which are recurring are Tom Hopper as Luther Hargreeves which is an astronaut with super strength (Number 1), David Castaneda as Diego Hargreeves which is a rebellious troublemaker (Number 2), Emmy Raver- Lampman as Allison Hargreeves which have the ability to control others minds (Number 3), Aidan Gallagher as the boy who jumps through space and time (Number 5), Justin H. Min as Ben Hargreeves the horror one (Number 6), Ellen Page as Vanya Hargreeves which have no supernatural powers, and a violinist (Number 7).
The role of a man who adopted them is played by Colm Feore. Some new character which is revealed by the developer is Yusuf Gatewood, Ritu Arya and Marin Ireland which plays some new role in season 2.
