The Wheel of Time, Amazon’s latest fantasy epic, is whetting fans’ appetites ahead of the debut of the Lord of the Rings series in 2022. The Wheel of Time, based on Robert Jordan’s books, depicts a huge saga replete with magic, intrigue, and the foretold return of an all-powerful warrior.
When will Season 2 be released?
On November 19th, 2021, The Wheel of Time will be available on Amazon Prime Video. The Wheel of Time, an epic fantasy based on the same-named books, takes place in a world where magic exists and is known as the One Power, but only a few women are capable of using it.
Who will be casting for Season 2?
Not long after The Wheel of Time commenced production for season 2, it was reported that the show’s second season will feature a significant recasting. Barney Harris, who plays Mat Cauthon in the series, has announced that he would not return for season 2. The reason for Barney Harris’ departure has not been disclosed.
Thus according to Deadline, who broke the news in September, Dónal Finn will take up the position. Dónal Finn has only had a few appearances, but he’s already participated in several big-name productions, including season 1 of The Witcher, the film How to Build a Girl, and an all-star cast in a TV version of Ben Ben Macintyre’s SAS: Rogue Heroes.
What to expect from the plotline for Season 2?
The plot involves Moiraine, a member of the enigmatic Aes Sedai, as she travels on a world-spanning expedition with five companions, one of whom is foretold to either rescue or destroy mankind.
