The Witcher is a Polish- American fictional drama series produced by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. This is a Netflix fantasy saga, based on six novels and two stories collection. This story is based on a medieval-inspired landmass known as “the continent.”
The first season was told across three timelines, and each timeline has one of the three main characters. And till the end of the season all timelines have caught up to each other, so it is very difficult for the fans to wait for the second season. Forming a story by using eight books is not everyone’s cup of tea. Its first season had eight episodes which had again a Marvelous response from all.
An Assured Release
The first season of The Witcher was released on 20 December 2019 and turned out to be one of the favorite shows of 2019. Surprisingly, The Witcher season 2 was confirmed before the release of the first season. So, those who became a diehard fan of its first series, I have a piece of good news for those that, The Witcher season 2 is on its way!
As Netflix showed some serious confidence that the series will probably return in 2021 rather than 2020 due to worldwide COVID-19 Pandemic. According to sources, we get to know that its second season also consists of eight episodes and its production will commence in London.
An Overview About Season 2
In the first season, The Witcher explores the legend of Geralt of Rivia and Princess Ciri, who are linked to each other by their destiny. But this time, they highlight the powerful bond among their family.
According to the Production Manager, an unorthodox family dynamic will be a central theme in the upcoming show and an unimaginable relationship will be seen between Geralt of Rivia and Princess Ciri. Frankly speaking, this time the series will be more secretive, attractive, amazing, and incredible.
Firelight Casting
Don’t worry because our main characters will not be changed in an upcoming season like Henry Carvill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Freya Allan as Ciri, and Joey Batey as Jaskier. One of the most important new Casting members was announced in late February, Kim Bodnia (Killing Eve) has been Cast as Vesemir, Geralt’s teacher. Some other new Casting members will be seen in the new season and some of them are Yasen Atour as Coen, Agnes Bjorn as Vareena, Maceda Simson as Francesca, Paul Bullion as Lambert, etc.
