Hello folks! We are here to talk about Witcher. Well! I’m sure most of you are here to know about the developments of this celebrated TV show. The pilot season was mind-blowing winning hearts of million fans with action, nudity, magic, and amazing background score that took place in different timelines. They also gave us a glimpse of a fantasy world full of elves, humans, and sorcerers.
However, just like all other shows Witcher Season 2 is also a victim of pandemic lockdown which resulted in a halt in production work for a few months. Netflix announced a new date on June 2020 for the second season to resume production which hints that the release date to feature this most anticipated show will be further delayed.
What will season 2 offer us?:
The pilot was inspired by the Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski’s The last wish. There were certain scenes of the battle of the sodden hill that was inspired and makers have already hinted us that there will be more depictions from the events of Sapkowski’s book. So, according to this pattern, we can expect them to come up with the inspiration from the Time of concept and Blood of elves.
We all know that Witcher took place in a period of over a 40-year timeline of ciri escaping the fall of Cintra. Backstories of Yennefer turning into a mage and flask backs of meeting Geralt of Rivia are said in the series of events.
Talking about the finale, Yennefer and crew claim victory over the Nilfgaardian army by stopping their advances to North. We are yet to figure out her fate in the battle. At the same time, Geralt was injured and was taken to a farm and happened to meet Ciri.
As per some fan pages of Witcher, the characters have come together and thus plot will be focused more on world-building rather than character development or origin plot because as per the finale the destiny has been fulfilled. We have also got a hint of Visenna, as per the vision of Geralt but makers wanted to keep it for next season without giving out many hints.
Season Two debut:
The production resumed in early 2020, however, this show saw the same fate of being halted to resume their production work. The show will start resuming on August 17. Doubtlessly, the much-awaited show will be pushed to the 2021 release. We are expecting it to deliver by summer or fall next year.
Too much Witcher today! Take a breather, stay safe inside your home, and stay tuned for more updates.
