A fiction novel especially written for the adult readers of 12 to 18 years of age became the basis for the dramatic series premiered in Netflix in the year 2017. The series had many deviations from the book with lot of additions too in the characters keeping the core intact. Thirteen Reasons why, the mystery filled thriller is developed by Brain Yorkey and is set in the locations of the United States of America.
The Series runs for four seasons with the first three seasons with 13 episodes in each of the season and the fourth season coming up with 10 episodes.
THE STORYLINE OF THIRTEEN REASONS WHY:
The story revolves around the students of the Liberty High school and their lives. Clay Jensen receives a tape recorded by his crush before her suicide unfolding emotionally thirteen reasons for her suicide and the story moves on to high school being sued by the parents of Hannah and how each of the characters are investigated and yet another turn in the story comes up with the murder of Bryce in which Clay Jenson is the main suspect. Clay’s mental health deteriorates due to various twists and also high tension prevails in the Liberty High school due to racism and the season ends with one of the important character dying and creating a huge impact.
CAST IN THE SERIES:
There is no much difference in the casting of the series in all of these seasons with Clay Jensen is played by Dylan Minette and Tony Padilla is played by Christian Navarro while Alisha Boe performs as Jessica Davis and Brandon Flynn performs the character of Justin foley and the Bryce Walker is played by Justin Prentice and Zach Dempsey is played by Ross Butler.
RELEASE DATE OF THE SEASON:
The series was premiered and aired in June 2020 with both negative and positive reviews from the viewers. The season has attracted lot of negative reviews due to many scenes which were showed with the warning message to the teens watching it.
