Thrash metal star Riley Gale dies at the age of only 35

The thrash metal world is in mourning: Riley Gale, front-man of the US band Power Trip (“Manifest Decimation”), has surprisingly passed away at only 35. His bandmates announced this in a statement on Twitter.  The reason of his death is still unknow.

A “rock star and generous friend.”

His bandmates took to twitter to share this devastating news with everyone. The post shows how devastated they are as they lost not just their lead singer but also an amazing friend. They had all kind words for Riley Gale, praising him as he was a great friend, brother, and son.

Instead of flowers, the band asks to donate money to the Dallas Hope Charities.

Power Trip

Founded in Dallas in 2008, Power Trip has released only two albums. Two historic nuggets of “trash.” Nightmare Logic, released in 2017, was critically acclaimed and even received accolades from The New Yorker.

The record climbed to 11th place in the ranking of the best albums of the year produced by Rolling Stone and 5th place in the one posted by Pitchfork.

Since the news of his death, tributes to Riley Gale have multiplied on social networks, with fans saying they were stunned by the news.

We mourn the death of a singer who changes many lives with his songs.
