“Two childhood best friends reunite as an unconventional crime-fighting superhero duo after one invents a formula that gives average people superpowers,” according to the official Netflix synopsis.

Since the film is a comedy, it could parody serious plots from other superhero franchises, such as the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The film, however, is not based on a comic book and was written by the film’s director, Ben Falcone.
