For the Tomb Raider sequel, Alicia Vikander is returning. In the U.S. box office, the picture didn’t do well, just 58 million dollars. The foreign market, however, saw the film totalling $273.5 million globally. This was sufficient to develop a sequel for MGM and Warner Bros. Ben Wheatley was contracted to live on Amy Jump’s script. This is all we know about the next film thus far.
Tomb Raider 2 – Details On Release Date
Warner Bros. confirmed the release of Tomb Raider 2 on 19 March 2021. It is anticipated that sometime in early 2020 filming will commence.
Tomb Raider 2 – Details On Cast and Crew Members
Alicia Vikander is back as our favourite Lara Croft tomb hunter. If we continue to follow on from the plot of the previous movie, Kristin Scott Thomas is expected to come back as Ana Miller. It’s probable that Dominic West won’t come back as Lara’s father in the first movie. Like the primary villain Mathias Vogel, Walton Goggins probably won’t return. Daniel Wu may return with Lu Ren, but Alicia Vikander is currently the only confirmed cast member.
Tomb Raider 2 – Details On Storyline
The struggle with Trinity is expected to continue. We learn at the end of the first movie that the parent corporation Patna tied Trinity to Croft Holdings. Patna’s leader is Lara’s father’s business partner and she soon discovers that she has been working with Vogel and Trinity on spreading the fatal virus. In the credit scene, we see Lara purchase twin weapons from the video games we know so well.
She is ready and willing to continue the struggle against Trinity now and this is probably going to continue. However, the new movie can also follow a whole new film, with new graves that are totally apart from the previous movie. We’re just going to have to wait and see.
