The Transformers film franchise has finally revealed the official title for its seventh film, as well as the chronology in which it will take place, after piling up billions of dollars since 2007 and experiencing some rough releases. The film, titled Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, is planned to be released on June 24, 2022, and will take place in New York City in 1994, following Bumblebee but before the Michael Bay movie. This film will be based on the Beast Wars mythos, and will include the Predacons, Maximals, and Terrorcons.
The title of the film, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, was revealed at a Transformers virtual event attended by director Steven Cable Jr., producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, and actors Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback. On JUNE 24, 2022, Transformers: Rise of the Beats will be released in cinemas. Paramount is said to be the worldwide distributor of the movie. However, the theatre release for the movie will be based on the COVID situation at that time.

A number of well-known Autobots were confirmed during the virtual press conference, including:
- Optimus Prime, sporting a new G1 look; longtime Optimus Prime voice actor Peter Cullen was confirmed to reprise his iconic role for Rise of the Beasts
- Bumblebee, to appear as new off-road Camaro
- Scourge
- Acree, to appear as Ducati 916
- Mirage, to appear as blue/silver Porsche 911 Turbo

The Autobots and Decepticons aren’t totally disregarded, though. Optimus Prime and Bumblebee will also feature in the forthcoming film, with Peter Cullen reprising his role as Optimus Prime, who will be shown in his new Gen 1 appearance alongside Bumblebee in his Camaro form. The events of Rise of the Beasts will take place in 1994 (particularly, Brooklyn, New York), and they will show why the Cybertronians have a link to Earth and humans.

The plot and concept of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts have yet to be disclosed. The producers did, however, hint to the tale taking place in 1994 in Brooklyn, New York, during a virtual press conference in June 2021. Peru will also host a number of significant sequences.
In a departure from previous Transformers films, the film will include both Autobots and Decepticons, rather than the traditional battle between the two. The film’s producers have stated that they will feature in it, including the evil Scourge. Instead, there are three new factions in Rise of the Beasts: Maximals, Predacons, and Terracons.
