It was summers of 2009 when a group of around 65 children from daycare which included the majority of the minors was not allowed to join a suburban Philadelphia swim club.

Following an initial visit from the group, which was reportedly subjected to racist comments from other swimmers, the club canceled future trips for the children without even giving any reasons, but as Tyler Perry got to know about this he came in gave the children something they would never forget: a trip to Walt Disney World with all expenses paid.

Even released a statement to CNN news where he was angry about the issue but at the same time, he wanted to do something for the children so that children can acknowledge that there even good people around the world as well.

Tyler Perry Donated $1 Million To The NAACP Fund Back In 2009 In Honor Of The Organization’s Centennial

After helping out the children by giving them a trip which they can’t forget. Though, Tyler Perry has a reputable name in the industry and also has his own business with lots of stage productions for movies and TV shows.

Despite being in such a top position he never forgot about those who came before him, to be specific it’s the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

As an honor to the civil rights organization’s Centennial, Perry made a donation of $1 Million, which as per the NAACP was the largest gift ever given by an individual artist.

Also, Tyler purchased several prints items that were commissioned by NAACP.

The very next year on the sad afternoon hours of Tuesday 12th January 2010, the nation of Haiti experienced an earthquake which resulted in a death toll of 100,000 people and a damage toll of billions of dollars.

After weeks and months after the earthquake, many of the people around the world came-in together to provide support for those in need in which Tyler Perry was also there.

Initially, he made a donation of $250,000 immediately after the earthquake and after a while, he increased the amount to $1 Million by stating that he wants to provide complete support to as possible people of Haiti and that would have something to rely on even after the news cycle moves on to the next incident.

The media mogul also helped to inspire others to donate what they could to help survivors in Haiti.

In 2019, Tyler Provided A Safe Shelter For The Grieving Children Of A Murdered Woman

In March 2019, Tynesha Evans was on news regarding her murder. Reports claim that she was shot and killed her boyfriend in North Fulton County Georgia.

Tynesha got killed leaving behind her four children who didn’t even know how they will live without their mother and how will they pay their bills.

As they were at a stage to quiet their school but nothing happened like that as Tyler Perry immediately contacted the grieving family and said he will be helping them out in their time of need. 

Tyler offered to pay off their mother’s left out debts, cover the rent of their house, take care of college tuition fees for one of the children so she could remain in school and even he offered to fly Tynesha’s body back to her home state of Wisconsin to hold a funeral with family and friends.

Tyler Perry was aware of the situation and when visited a restaurant in Atlanta he left by tipping an amount of $21,000 which equals $500 each to the 42 working staff in the restaurant.

During this pandemic also Tyler Perry never took back to help people. Here he reportedly helped the elderly restaurant workers in Atlanta by paying off their grocery bills at 44 Kroger stores.

By helping the survivors of Haiti, now he again becomes a volunteer to help out people who were in need of the Hurricane Harvey disaster which took place in 2017.

He pledged $1 Million to various religion-based groups situated in and around Houston, Texas.

As per a report from Los Angeles Times, Tyler Perry pledged for an amount of $250,000 each to two churches in the area with the remainder of his contributions being handed out to other groups in the months following the horrific storm.

In 2018, Tyler Perry Gifted Everyone’s Layaway Items At Two Atlanta Walmart Stores

During December which is a good and awaited season for all! But, even during this season, there were families who were struggling to make their needs fulfilled, but Tyler appeared as a Santa Claus for the multiple families and gifted them with layaway items at two Walmart stores located in the Atlanta area.

An official Instagram account, he announced that he paid all of the remaining balances (minus $0.01) on every item in layaway that was in the system at the Walmart locations in Douglasville and East Point, Georgia. Do checkout the video:
