A group of comic book fans who meet online and create a bond thanks to their obsession with apparently fictional cartoons called ‘Utopia’. Together, Becky (Ashleigh Lathrop), Ian (Dan Byrd), Samantha (Jessica Rothe), Wilson Wilson (Desmin Borges), and Grant (Javon “Wanna” Walton) unearth hidden meanings among the pages of Utopia that predict threats to humanity.
They realize that they are not just the beginnings of a conspiracy, but also the real dangers that are reviving in their world. The high-stakes adventure sees the group go head-to-head with the famous comic book main character, Jessica Hyde (Sasha Lane), who joins them on their mission to save the world while hiding her own secrets.
Gillian Flynn, the author of hits like ‘Lost’ or ‘Open Wounds,’ is the showrunner and executive producer of this new Amazon Prime Video series, whose trailer has just launched on the platform and which completes its cast with names such as John Cusack, Rainn Wilson, Farrah Mackenzie, Christopher Denha, and Cory Michael Smith.
The fiction, which will be released next October, has eight episodes and is inspired by the British fiction of the same name created by Dennis Kelly and which had two successful seasons.
