Violet Evergarden is an Anime series which is directed by Taichi Ishidate at Kyoto Animation with the screenplay written by Reiko Yoshida. It comes under the genre of animation, drama, and fantasy. The series is based on a Japanese light novel series written by Kana Akatsuki and illustrated by Akiko Takase.
The series turned out as a major hit among the anime-lovers because of its unique storyline and a different plot. It is rated 8.5 out of 10 by IMDb and also have been nominated for numerous categories and won many of them, one of which is Best Animation at the 2019 Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Violet was abandoned and had no name when she was young until a navy officer Dietfried Bougainvillea found him on an island when he was with his colleagues due to some naval work. Then Dietfried brought her back with him and gifted her to his brother Gilbert who was a decent guy and treated her like a human.
Taught her to write, speak, and read, and then he named her as Violet. She also saved him several times in the battle and lost both her arms which were replaced by metallic prosthetics later. She later decided to become an Auto memory doll in order to learn the last words gilbert said to her which were “I love you”.
Violet starts working as Auto-memory Doll in the CH Postal Company and writes letters for the ones who cannot write or are unable to express their feelings through words. After this season we can expect to see a story with a whole new perspective.

After the ultimate hit of season one, fans must be going restless and impatient for the release of the second season. We finally have news for you, season 2 was about to release in the year 2019 but due to the pandemic outbreak it got delayed and the chaos it created disrupted everything and so the dates are shifted and moved forward in the year 2020.
So hopefully we can see season 2 dropping in the mid or late 2020, in the month of September maybe. The plot would now focus on the part after Violet’s entry in the company and many more back-stories revolving around her.
