The series won the Best Animation at the 2019 Crunchyroll Anime Awards. So there no doubt about how good the show is. The fans are waiting for the 2nd season eagerly. So when can we see the 2nd Season for the show? Let’s find out!
The show is based on the Japanese light novel series written by Kana Akatsuki, the novel has won many awards and the story has been portrayed in an Anime, Manga, and Movies as well. The Anime aired between January and April 2018 and had 13 Episodes in total. The story is about Auto Memory Dolls people who were initially employed by Dr. Orland a scientist and they helped his blind wife write novels. They were later used for other writing services. We follow along the journey of Violet Evergarden as she tries to integrate back into society after the war and tries to understand the last word of Major Gilbert told her “I love you”.
News About The Release Date
There haven’t been any official announcements about the 2nd season as of yet. The fans have been waiting eagerly for any news related to the show and although nothing has been announced due to the show’s success we can be hopeful that there will be a 2nd season sometime in the future.

We don’t know whether or not we will see some new characters in the next season however we can be sure that we will see Violet Evergarden voiced by Yui Ishikawa (Japanese) and Erika Harlacher (English), Claudia Hodgins voiced by Takehito Koyasu (Japanese) and Kyle McCarley (English), Gilbert Bougainvillea voiced by Daisuke Namikawa (Japanese) and Tony Azzolino (English), Cattleya Baudelaire voiced by Aya Endō (Japanese); Reba Buhr (English),and Erica Brown voiced by Minori Chihara (Japanese); Christine Marie Cabanos (English).
What Will The Plot Be? And Movie Based On Violet Evergarden
We don’t know much about the plot since not much information has been released about the second season however we can guess some things according to the Light Novels on which the show is based. We will probably see more about the death of Major Gilbert in the next season and maybe we will find whether he died or not.
