Virgin River is a romantic drama, produced by Robyn Carr, Christopher E. Perry, Sue Tenney, Roma Roth, and Jocelyn Freid. The first season was released on Netflix on December 6, 2019, and received good reviews.
The plot of the show follows the life of a widowed nurse, Melinda “Mel” Monroe, who decides to settle down in the laid back town of Virgin River and work as a nurse hoping that it would give her a fresh start and help her heal from the past trauma.
But things take an unexpected turn when she finds an abandoned child on a front porch and partly falls in love with a local restaurant bar owner and former U.S. Marine, Jack Sheridan, who suffers from PTSD himself.

EXPLANATION OF THE END OF THE SEASON 2
The end of the season one turned out to be quite a dramatic cliff-hanger. We learn that Charmaine Roberts, Jack’s non-romantic sexual partner, is pregnant with his child but it appears that Charmaine might have been more emotionally invested in her relationship with Jack than the latter.
Amidst this sticky situation, Jack confronts his love for Mel which makes her anxious, given that Charmaine is carrying his baby. This war of emotions gives her flashbacks of the death of her late husband and she decides to leave the Virgin River once and for all. On the other hand, Paige’s situation becomes distressing too. Her abusive ex-husband has fled with her little son Christopher, despite having no legal custody.
It is expected that we will learn more about John “Preacher” Middleton as he tries to help Paige. But the end was not all blue either. Hope McCrea, the mayor of Virgin River and her husband, Dr. Mullins call off their divorce once they learn that they still have feelings for each other. They have decided to give their marriage a second try.
