Family Guys is an animation sitcom following the life of a family of six consisting of a father and a mother with two teenage kids, a brilliant dog and a notorious baby Stewie.
The show first premiered in 1999 in Fox network and has only grown its fan base since then and has been going strong for more than two decades with 19 seasons. The show has a IMDb score of 8.1/10.
The show’s 19th season premiered on 27th September, 2020 titled “Stewie’s First Word” .I know what you’re wondering, Stewie hadn’t uttered a single word in front of his parents in all these years? The answer is yes but it is no reason to underestimate his wit. And guess what the first word was? Not mama or papa. Clue: it was a swear word!
This incident leaves his mother Lois puzzled and worried and she does her research to find the root cause of her little kid’s profanity. It turns out it was her!
She gets really heartbroken by this and goes to a rehabilitation centre to fix the issue. A typical MacFarlane thing to do.
But there’s a silver lining to this incident too. All throughout the episode we see Peter try to determine his life’s course and take all the decisions using a magic ball 8. This is actually very concerning. With Lois gone, he gets to bond with the little devil of a child, Stewie.
Also, Lois leaves the rehab centre early because she realises that the occasional swears doesn’t make her a bad mother or a bad person.
