Welcome To New York Movie Plot Details
A tricky recovery agent dreaming of acting, Teji (Diljit Dosanjh), as well as a fashion designer, Jeenal Patel (Sonakshi Sinha), will be part of a significant Bollywood (IIFA) event in New York City. Between the two, Karan Johar gets abducted, but Arjun is exposed.
In Welcome To New York, a mindless but harmless comedy based on events in and around the glitzy award show held in the big apple, Bollywood sheds its hypothesis and takes a deep spike at itself. Some of the movies are enjoyable. If all this is the same thing, this unpretentious fuck could have been a much more uncomfortable ride. But it was a big, imposing IF, which looks at us as the film unfolds in a yellow rhythm.
Karan Johar and Riteish Deshmukh spare each other as hosts of the event and allow some jokes to play on each other. They play each other, both as hosts. Here’s no notion of taking yourself seriously, regardless of how important you are. Most of the joy brought from this casual surrender to the company’s demands by Welcome to New York. KJo mocks his movie brand.
His status as an actor is not reflected in Deshmukh’s role. Even that’s not anything. At the end of no ribbon, Rana Daggubati stuck in the Baahubali mode. However, nobody other but Aditya Roy Kapur – he is playing, too. Acting tips take him for anyone who listens: a dream to overcome all fantasies. Welcome To New York, the comic breaking is on the theory that the viewer gets all the jokes. It’s a wild, insane world out there.
They expect people to understand all the inside jokes that they have liberally used—no excuse they would not. There is no reason. But, in the absence of a cohesive script and a plot that could be far beyond easy chuckling, the film is far too inconsistent without having the desired impact.
Welcome to New York, managed by Telugu filmmaker Chakri Toleti; although he is less than two hours a day, he tends to stay away from him. The thing is all too obvious: over and above the rounded film, the story is about a strange pair – a Bollywood-obsessed regenerating agent (Diljit Dosanjh), who is inept at his job and a fashion designer (Sonakshi Sinha) who desperately wants to be part of the film industry by winning the contest of some event and get to New York.
They bump into Bollywood figures and wade into a series of tumultuous events on their stay in NYC. As Dosanjh and Sonakshi enter the swing fast enough and seem to enjoy the experience, the focus is on Karan Johar. He plays a twofold part – one as the filmmaker he is in real life, and the other as an Arjun who is a philander.
The track Dosanjh-Sonakshi is sometimes allowed to slip without a goal, making neither of the two characters persuasive. This applies to the Karan-Riteish banter, which gives the movie some of the more convenient moments.
A peculiar, half-baked idea, the film does its utmost to add awards to the show – Welcome to New York is Wizcraft’s first film foray into event management, but a less fancy promotional film would have been just as helpful in this respect.
Just when you hang up to Bollywood, in the way of Diljit Dosanjh’s character, and take whatever the industry offers without brewing. Watch Welcome To New York. However, if you are not, at best, this film is worth your time intermittently. Beware – not that you are in any way advised to carry your grey cells along – when you go to the cinema.

Welcome To New York Movie Filming
The film was heavily criticised by Rajeev Masand of News 18, who says, “It’s a horror movie or even an awful movie. This is depressing. It is not because there is a storyline over the whole town, not because the actors seem to do what they want, not because they don’t have any vision or desire, but because it’s a pure ineffectiveness exercise. In reality, this film has nothing to do with it.” And he gave it a 1 out of 5 ratings.
The film was scored 0.5 out of 5 by Rohit Vats of the Hindustan Times, and his review concluded by saying, “Welcome In New York is lost completely and looks like an extended trailer. Welcome to New York. This stunning promotional video doesn’t waste your time, effort, patience and intellect. “There was a mistake. “Welcome To New York turns out to be a limp, lame tribute to Bollywood” Shubhra Gupta of The Indian Express gave the film a rating of 1 out of 5.
All in all, the movie received some pretty harsh comments and response, and in fact, the audience also did not have many good words to say about it. So if you wish to watch the movie and take a chance with it, then do it at your own risk.
