On Friday, 3rd September, Money Heist season five, part one, premiered on Netflix. However, thanks to the fact that the final batch of episodes of this epic crime storey will be released on Friday 3rd December, they won’t have long to wait to find out how it ends.
Money Heist Season 5 was revealed in May with a tweet and teaser trailer. While season five was first confirmed in 2020, it came as little surprise as the fourth season dominated Netflix’s global top 10 lists upon release.
“Thank you to all the fans for being a part of La Resistencia!” said the description on Netflix’s post of a picture of the cast. How this narrative finish is something, we can’t wait to share with you!”
Money Heist season four ended with Tokyo (Ursula Corbero) in the bank with the rest of the gang. However, in the final minutes of season four, The Professor (lvaro Morte) had an unexpected visitor. Because of The Professor’s ingenious scheme to free Lisbon (Itziar Ituno), she is currently inside the bank.
After being embarrassed by her superiors, Alicia Sierra (Najiwa Nimri) is determined to hunt down her foe, The Professor, on her own. Instead, she encircled The Professor, leaving the rest of the team stranded with no way out.
Fans have also speculated about what will happen in season five. In the flashbacks, Alicia is Tatiana, Berlin’s wife. Tatiana is played by Diana Gomez, not Nimri, even though they share certain characteristics. We won’t rule out the possibility of a relationship just yet.
Ursula Corberó, who plays Tokyo, spoke to Identity Mag about her and Rio’s friendship. “If this connection is toxic,” she added, “I’ve been wondering whether it is. From the outset, we can observe Rio’s weakness and Tokyo’s protectiveness. Perhaps Tokyo’s personality makes it a bit toxic.”
Pina has revealed a few important narrative details in the film’s plot. In his words, “we’re heading from chess to war: attack and dispute. It’s always our goal to make sure that our opponents are captivating, educated, and shiny. In this situation, we’re looking for characters who can match The Professor’s intelligence in a pure war picture genre.”
“Adrenaline is in Money Heist’s DNA,” he continued. “A new event occurs every thirty seconds, causing the characters to be disrupted and the action to be slowed down. The heist at the Bank of Spain will continue to be filled with adrenaline and sentiments emerging from personalities who are utterly multifaceted, magnetic, and unpredictably unpredictable.”
“It’s the most epic section of all of the segments we’ve shot because it forces the gang into irrevocable situations, into a raging fight. The film is full of action and emotion, black comedy and drama, romance and sadness.”
