The movie was initially titled “Born to be murdered”, directed by Ferdinando Cito Filomarino and produced by Luca Guadagne. However, Netflix purchased the movie and changed its name in October 2020.

Of course, many people trust the impending action thriller since Deadline said it had been picked as the first picture to be screened at the Locarno Locarno film festival, which begins on 4 August 2021 and will be the world premiere of the film.

Fortunately, waiting for the streaming platform is not too long for “Beckett.” The film will premier over a week later, on 13 August 2021, after a first in the world at the Locarno Film Festival in early August. Two days after “Kissing Booth 3,” another highly awaited Netflix movie, was launched on August 11, 2021.

Alongside the title role of Washington, “Beckett” also has a small group of great actors, surrounded by a large multinational cast. Beckett’s girlfriend April, who appears to be passionately in love before an accident with a fatal car destroys their life together, plays Alicia Vikandre, who earned an Oscar for her work in ‘The Danish Girl.’

“Beckett” begins as a lovely storey by a couple, Beckett and April, on a romantic journey through Greece’s countryside, having enjoyment, as like they have no worries in the world. But, unfortunately, following a tragic vehicle accident, their delightful vacation is cut short. Washington said in an interview that Beckett is “stumbling into the kidnapping,” which “makes it a national hunting target.”

When Beckett tries to inform the police what he has seen, they say nobody has, and he has to do all of it. But he understands what he has seen and is resolved to provide the Embassy in Athens with information and hopefully, with his life, go out of Greece.

One thing that “Beckett” can distinguish from the numerous other search thrillers is that Beckett is a normal guy. He has no secret background in the military or exceptional skills. He’s just someone who ends in the wrong location and doesn’t want to die at the wrong moment.

Cito Filomarino said that Washington “surely lost some weight in the film because it was so much running.” Beckett suffers from numerous injuries during the entire film as he travels across the Greek countryside to Athens, sprints cliffs, trains and sprints across crowds of people, among other things.
