The 2008 film The Incredible Hulk, though was not a massive hit as the recent MCU movies, was quite a success. Starring Edward Norton in the lead role as Bruce Banner, the film got a good reception and has a score 6.7/10 on IMDb.

But in the first Avengers movie we saw Norton being replaced by Mark Ruffalo. When asked in a panel, the statement given clearly referred to the no cooperative attitude of Norton.

Furthermore, Marvel replied that it was recasting Bruce with “an actor who embodies the creativity and collaborative spirit of our talented cast members’’.

But Norton’s manager countered the statement by saying that Marvel was misleading the audience and the main reason why Norton was replaced was due to financial reasons.

And in response to that Norton highlighted his departure during a 2014 interview and stated that he had “experienced what [he] wanted to” with the part and he “didn’t want to have an association with one thing in any way degrade [his] effectiveness as an actor in characters.”

So, it looks like Ruffalo and Norton don’t have any bad blood either.

At the end the replacement turned out to be good was Marvel and many fell in love with the way Mark portrayed Hulk in a wolly bashful charming way. But he has not been a lead in any movie though. And we don’t see any upcoming one either. But Mark has confirmed that he will be appearing in the she-Hulk show to be premiered on Disney+.

Even as a little girl, I was fascinated by words. The idea of stringing words together to form meaningful sentences which could alter the emotions of other human beings excited me. At first I wrote fiction. It gave me a chance to live the different lives I’ve always wanted to. The way my friends reacted when they read my story gave me the greatest of joys. As I grew older, I realised that there are thousands of stories of people around me that deserved to be told. Then I started incorporating their stories to my fictional stories. Over the time, I leaned more towards article writing. I have always felt that writing is my super power. A power I could wield to bring joy and comfort to me and the people I care about.
