Created by Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler, ‘Cursed’ is a television series released in 2020 which is based on the novel of the same name written by Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler. It’s a fantasy serial drama with action and adventure which streamed ten episodes in season one on Netflix.
As for as the premise of the series goes, it is a story narrated by Nimue who is a young heroine and is gifted with mysterious powers and te destiny will make her the powerful tragic ‘Lady of Lake’. She narrates the story of Arthurian Legend from her viewpoint.
She loses her mother and then finds a friend and a partner in a brave and young soldier named Arthur. She gets on a quest to find Merlin and an ancient sword and courageous rebel against the terrifying Red Paladins and their collusive king Uther. The show was also called as ‘a coming of age story’ by Nellie Andreeva.
It appears that Katherine Langford is back with a brand new story through Hannah Baker’s story is concluded. This time she will be seen as a sorceress and not a restless teenager. She will be seen playing Nimue and will be seen protecting her people from the rage of the Catholic Church and Red Paladins. To actually feel it, you must watch the first season.
It was a much-appreciated shows on Netflix but as of now, we do not have any update on the second season. The first season ended with a mystery of Nimue being alive or dead and this gives us all logical reasons for a second season to come, however no official statement regarding the same is available.
As far as the trends followed by Netflix, we can expect season two. Season one was released on 17th July 2020 and the channel will take its own set time to think about season two. The characters still have to tell us more in terms of their story.
As far as actors go, we might get to see the same team again which has played Katherine Langford as Nimue, Devon Terrell as Arthur, Gustaf Skarsgård as Merlin. Daniel Sharman as Weeping Monk / Lancelot, Sebastian Armesto as Uther Pendragon, Lily Newmark as Pym, Peter Mullan as Father Carden, Shalom Brune-Franklin as Igraine / Morgana, Bella Dayne as Red Spear / Guinevere, and Matt Stokoe as Green Knight / Gawain.
We will get back to you with more insights and updates, till then stay happy.
