The 35th edition of Hiroyuki Takei’s supernatural adventure “The Shaman King” was first published in the late 1990s, captivating viewers with epic tales of shamans, spirits, or how they all exist within a legendary world of fantasy.
The show inspired a series of anime of the same name, which debuted on Cartoon Network and Fox Kids in 2001 and was later adapted for an American audience. More than 60 episodes of the series have solidified the viewers’ mental source. However, the creator, Seiji Mizushima, later revealed that the last half was ordered by the original manga publisher rather than his creative vision.
There was a rebooted series in 2021 that offered an entirely new perspective on a fantastic familiar story, allowing audiences to enjoy a brand new take on the “Shaman King.” While it has only been broadcast in Japan up to this point, US viewers will be able to watch it when Netflix launches in August. Everything you need to know about this show is right here.
